#RPGaDay2025 - 3 Tavern
My easy answer here is the monthly “Medieval Tavern Nights” where I’ve been running regular games over the past year. It was a good idea, but the execution left a bit to be desired. We had nights where people didn’t even know anything was going to be happening until they randomly showed up on the night. I knew people who were waiting for the e=next event, only to be told it had been and gone.
Like conventions, it was always fun to run games for strangers, to see how they might react to a session, or a new set of rules they weren’t familiar with, but I’ve posted numerous times about these nights over the past year on the blog, so there’s not much point going over that ground again.
I’m seeing a bunch of similar nights being hosted all over the place, and it’s great to see gaming creep closer to the mainstream.
