Paintrix Miniatures

At the moment I'm painting up a series of figures from the Malifaux and Freebooter's Fate ranges.

Some of these are absolutely beautiful miniatures, and they deserve to be painted with the utmost care and attention. Otherwise the paintwork just doesn't do justice to the raw metal.

So I decided to do some research, and looked into a few websites focused on miniature painters.

Cool Mini or Not came up, and there is always some great work on that site, but a lot of that is hidden amongst the mediocre...I was looking for something with a bit more information.

A bit more looking and I found the Paintrix.

If you want to find good stuff on CMoN, go to browse, then select the manufacturer you're interested in (e.g. Wyrd miniatures) and sort by rating (descending). It will put all the great stuff at the start. You can also search for a specific mini, and again sort by rating if you want inspiration to paint a specific model.

Other good mini painting websites include:
*Massive Voodoo (by far my favorite painting blog)
*Chest of Colors (some amazing stuff in the gallery, and a good forum for painters)
*Brushthralls (nice tutorials, but no longer updated regularly)
*Destroyer Minis (personal website of Marike Reimer—if you like Jen Haley, you'll like her stuff too)
*Hand Cannon Online (not specific to painting, but they have some nice painting tutorials, including some by *cough cough* myself.)
